Statement of Faith

We, as believers in Jesus Christ, affirm the following foundational truths based on the Bible, which serve as our ultimate guide for our faith:

1. The Bible

We believe that the Bible, consisting of the Old and New Testaments, is God’s inspired, inerrant, and authoritative Word. It is the final and sufficient rule for faith and life (2 Timothy 3:16-17). Through the Holy Scriptures, God has revealed Himself fully, and we are called to live according to His Word.

2. God

We believe in one eternal God, existing in three persons: God the Father, God the Son, and God the Holy Spirit. These three are co-equal, co-eternal, and of one essence, united in purpose and divine nature (Matthew 28:19; John 1:1, 14; 2 Corinthians 13:14).

3. Jesus Christ

We believe that Jesus Christ is the eternal Son of God, who was conceived by the Holy Spirit, born of the Virgin Mary, and is fully God and fully man. He lived a sinless life, was crucified for the sins of humanity, and was buried. On the third day, He rose from the dead, demonstrating victory over sin, death, and hell. He ascended into heaven, where He reigns as Lord, and will return in glory to judge the living and the dead (John 1:14; Matthew 1:18-25; Romans 5:8; 1 Corinthians 15:3-4; Acts 1:9-11).

4. Salvation

We believe that salvation is by grace alone, through faith alone, in Jesus Christ alone. It is not by works or human effort, but a gift from God. Through His death and resurrection, Jesus made atonement for our sins, and by faith in Him, we are justified, reconciled to God, and receive eternal life (Ephesians 2:8-9; Romans 3:24-26; John 14:6).

5. Repentance and Faith

We believe that repentance and faith are essential responses to the gospel. Repentance is a turning from sin and self, and faith is trusting in Christ alone for salvation. These are the necessary steps in the process of conversion (Acts 2:38; Mark 1:15; Ephesians 2:8).

6. The Church

We believe that the Church is the body of Christ, composed of all true believers in Jesus Christ. It is a local and universal gathering of those who have trusted in Christ for salvation. The local church is the place where believers gather for worship, fellowship, instruction in the Word, prayer, and the ordinances of baptism and the Lord’s Supper (Matthew 16:18; 1 Corinthians 12:12-27; Acts 2:42-47).

7. Baptism

We believe that baptism is an outward sign of an inward change. It is the public declaration of an individual’s identification with the death, burial, and resurrection of Jesus Christ. We practice believer’s baptism by immersion, as it is the model shown in the New Testament (Matthew 28:19; Acts 2:41; Romans 6:3-4).

8. The Lord's Supper

We believe that the Lord’s Supper (or Communion) is an ordinance instituted by Christ, commemorating His death until He comes. It is a means of spiritual nourishment, where believers remember Christ’s sacrifice and proclaim His victory over sin and death. It is for baptized believers who are in good standing with the body of Christ (1 Corinthians 11:23-26).

9. The Holy Spirit

We believe in the person and work of the Holy Spirit, who convicts the world of sin, empowers believers for godly living, and equips the Church for service. The Holy Spirit indwells every believer at the moment of conversion and produces the fruit of the Spirit in their lives (John 14:16-17; Romans 8:9; Galatians 5:22-23).

10. The Second Coming of Christ

We believe in the personal, visible, and bodily return of Jesus Christ to earth. At His return, He will judge the living and the dead, establish His eternal kingdom, and bring about the final defeat of evil. Those who are in Christ will enter into eternal life, and those who are not will face eternal separation from God (Acts 1:11; Revelation 19:11-16; 2 Timothy 4:1).

11. Eternal Security

We believe that those who are genuinely saved are eternally secure in Christ. Salvation is not based on human effort but on God’s grace, and nothing can separate a believer from the love of God in Christ Jesus (John 10:27-30; Romans 8:38-39).

12. Christian Living

We believe that all believers are called to live lives of holiness and obedience to God, empowered by the Holy Spirit. As disciples of Christ, we are to love one another, share the gospel, and serve our communities. Our lives should reflect the character of Christ and bring glory to God (Romans 12:1-2; Matthew 28:19-20; Colossians 3:12-17).
In conclusion, we affirm that the Christian faith is based on the truth of the Bible, the finished work of Christ, and the indwelling power of the Holy Spirit. We are committed to living in accordance with God’s Word, proclaiming the gospel, and anticipating the return of our Savior, Jesus Christ. May God grant us grace to be faithful until His return.
Amen.
