Ashok was left to care for himself on the streets after his father was murdered and his mother became a chronic alcoholic. He would beg all day in the streets, sometimes selling pens and balloons. He and his older brother slept on a bench at a bus stop but were often beaten and chased away by the police. He has been in the care of Project I Am International since 2017. Ashok is now thriving under our care, but unfortunately, his mom still has chosen the streets.
